Pros
I love the fact that my management team cares about me as a person. I come from a CU that had a terrible HR department and it's refreshing to have a manager and HR team who has my back.
Cons
The only drawback I can find is not having a set path for individual contributors, those who don't aspire to be a people manager. It maybe a bottleneck for the management route or for those who don't want to be a people manager but wants to be VP or C level equals.
