      You get to work with some really, really smart people - Many employees passionate about their jobs - Strong dedication to customer success - Great place to learn and start your career

      Pros

      - You get to work with some really, really smart people - Many employees passionate about their jobs - Strong dedication to customer success - Great place to learn and start your career - A lot of great middle managers that protect their employees - Various departments (services, R&D, tech support) are generally pretty well-aligned

      Cons

      - Always an identity crisis at PTC; results in corporate rebranding every year or two - Too many levels of upper management; very reactionary to maintaining stock prices and keeping bottom line - Too many Heppelmanns work here - Training classes are a joke, but hey, at least you get to go! - Promotions/progressions are pretty steady, but they're slow, and you have to wait your turn - Once you hit the mid-level, not much room for growth; recommend you try going horizontal before you go vertical again - Those in QA, solution center and tech support probably have it the worst

      Nepotism at its finest - I can not believe the Board of Directors puts up with this!

      Pros

      Very high compensation for the work requested in many areas strong enterprise sales leadership, they get criticized but are actually solid Once you make it to about the director level, it is a gravy train You can work from home, half days, quite frankly disappear for weeks and no one might ever mention it

      Cons

      the entire organization is being crafted by one executive (not the CEO) there are scores of employees related to this executive or his neighbors and friends there is a common humor around "kiss the ring", most employees will know who this refers to constantly changing strategy, no chance for anything to stick because of the fear of all exec's to get out of favor
