Pros

Great experience at first, but soon it's illusion.

Cons

No friendly working environment/people. Playing politics is like having meals. Leadership is making you a dog chasing its tail (tails=the goal pictured by leader). Good luck!

Stay away from the MA role

Pros

Your colleagues are the best thing about the company. There are some really great people and most will go out of their way to help and are genuinely willing to help you succeed

Cons

Management for the MA role have unrealistic expectations and micromanage everything. If you're going to put people through 4 interviews plus extensive training, you should be confident in their ability to do the job. If not, why keep them employed? MAs are expected to act as call center agents and manage their own desk of claims which, at times, can be upward of 80+ claims. You'll work a ridiculous amount of OT just trying to stay afloat and not let down your members. Management seems to care very little that their employees are killing themselves to get things done. They care about whether you put a comma where they felt a period should go in an email. This might be acceptable to those fresh out of college but those with some working experience are left feeling like a smothered teen instead of the experienced professional that was hired. Info and directions change constantly and if you miss an update or ask for clarification, you're made to feel like an idiot. You also lose all credibility with a high net-worth insured when you don't have authority to approve something reasonable because management insists on everything fitting into the box they've created. Start here, get the training but move on once you can. They'll promise you the moon and you'll find out it's a mirage

Pros

Most day-to-day coworkers are amazing to work with professionally and get to know personally.

Cons

Best way to describe it: Have you ever seen Jordan Peele's movie 'Get Out' ?? If you are a neurodivergent individual, this company is not a safe place for you. If you respect yourself, value your time and your health, this company is not for you. If you have a creative idea or an improvement on efficiency - keep it to yourself. Keep your head down and conform to the procedures/rules that will change daily - if not more frequently. Policy enforcement and procedure will change on a case by case basis for no rhyme or reason. Do not speak unless spoken to. Do not ask for further direction/clarity - you will be insulted; passive aggressively. Nepotism runs deep here. The company culture operates much like a cult. Leadership sits on a high horse with a profound disconnect from the expectations and reality of the job - but you will often be reminded (gaslit) that they too once did your position. ..When the company (and workload) was 70% smaller. You will be working the most important department within the company, juggling (what you'll soon figure out is) 3 different positions for the salary of one. Albeit one of the lowest salaries in the company.
