Pros

Never thought I would end up in insurance, but I'm glad I did. PURE's interviewing stood out because they focused on culture fit rather than boilerplate resume questions. I'm lucky to have landed here out of college, as I've learned so much about the industry, made great strides in my professional development and made tons of friends along the way.

Cons

Every company has downsides, but PURE is extremely open to feedback and is looking to consistently improve, which is all I can ask from an employer.

Pros

Good benefits Okay office Free pizza

Cons

They will micromanage you and expect you stay working afterhours. No life/work balance as you will be 4 hours on the phone and 4 hours handling over 70 claims a week. This is not a real adjuster job but more like a call center role.

Pros

- The people that PURE hires are very kind, empathetic, and open to feedback! Everyone on your team is easy to work with. Your managers really care about getting to know you. - They have very clear expectations and metrics by which they are measuring your performance. In that sense, they are very transparent. - Tons of free food for in office employees! - Great benefits: good healthcare coverage, tuition reimbursement, student loan contributions, 8% 401k match, PTO and more

Cons

- The expectations they set are often clearly explained but unattainable in reality. I’ve had meetings with managers who tell me that little to no adjusters are actually meeting the metrics they’ve set. They also don’t have the best systems in place to measure these metrics, so they often contain a lot of errors. - It’s very hard to transfer to other departments. There’s a high turnover rate in claims, so they really want you to advance in claims over any other department - They aren’t always transparent about changes in how work is distributed. One week you will be handling a certain type of claims, and the next week, they’ll give you little to no notice that you need to start handling a heavier workload ASAP. - Intense micromanagement - It is impossible to meet their expectations without working overtime multiple times a week if not daily. If you choose to log off on time, you’re choosing to leave work left unfinished. I’ve seen adjusters still working at 11 pm and midnight trying to catch up, and that is during slow season!
