Pros

My coworkers are great. We all have a sense of humor and are able to joke around while at the same time getting work done.

Cons

Pay is low, hours are long.

Pros

You will gain experience and get your hands dirty if you have no experience. Management was decently laid back as long as you got your work done on time. Most of the staff were friendly.

Cons

Training isn't very organized and scheduling was a minor issue. Also the pay rate is quite low and growing within the company did not seem like a realistic option for everyone.

Pros

I worked as an analyst in Pace's Lab Operations division for a little over a year. Lab Ops is Pace's analytical staffing division, so I worked offsite for a client of theirs. During my time, I was given the distinct impression that Pace is a company that truly cares about its employees. There is an openness and genuineness to the company as a whole; I felt as though I was valued and all of my colleagues were talented, hard-working people with whom I got along very well. Pace is a transparent company - its CEO regularly updates the company as a whole with business developments and financial progress. I was given the impression that Pace is managed very well at all levels. I highly recommend Pace as an entry point for young chemists.

Cons

I can't speak for Pace's other business units, but Lab Ops is ultimately limited by it's own model of contract staffing. This is nothing against Pace itself; it is just the nature of contract staffing as a whole. When it comes down to it, Lab Ops simply cannot pay it's employees well enough at the entry level to prevent them from going elsewhere. Again, I don't see this as Pace's "fault", necessarily. Pace is definitely competitive with other "contract houses" at that level, but almost any full-time offer for someone with 1+ year of experience is going to be for a substantially higher wage (this was my experience). That said, it was still very difficult for me to make the decision to leave Pace because it was, truly, a wonderful place to work.
