Pros

Encourages entrepreneurship. Supports employees career goals. You get back what you put into the company. Great benefits, medical, dental... ESOP company plus 401k.

Cons

There is not a consistent training program. We are one company but customer/employee experience will vary by location.

Pros

I left my last job looking for a greater sense of purpose and meaning and I've found it with Pacific Steel & Recycling. As a 100% employee-owned company, I've always felt like my opinion has been valued and Pacific has empowered and supported me to make the company better. The cherry on top is that the more ways I can make Pacific better, the more I get to share in the profits and success through our employee stock ownership plan (E.S.O.P.) It's awesome! With 40+ facilities in 9 States, there's a ton of opportunity for advancement. Give yourself to Pacific and add value and Pacific will give it back to you. Pacific Steel & Recycling isn't just in the metal business, we're in the people business. I'm not going anywhere!

Cons

Our business isn't the sexiest of industries and at times it can be hard and dirty work depending on the position. At the end of the day though, hard work equals profits and an awesome retirement and you can always wash the dirt off your hands after a hard days work.
