Pros

Talented co-workers. Great products and technology. Opportunity to work with leading companies in the world as customers and partners. One of few world class software companies based in San Diego

Cons

PacketVideo has had some bad luck over the years with its corporate parents. For a while it was owned by Nextwave Wireless, which had major issues. Company is now owned by NTT DoCoMo, which should be better situation for everyone.

Pros

Bleeding age mobile application technology. Company is well positioned to take advantage of rapid changes in cell phone technology. Ability to bring family to work when needed was a HUGE benefit.

Cons

The culture dictates that everyone work long hours and sometimes weekends, no matter what. I got the sense that folks lived to work at PV, not worked to live.
