Pros

Flexible working hours Good exposure to learn various skills You don't need to be highly qualified in order to climb up the ladder. Directors or managers are not even degree holders.

Cons

Low pay, no or pathetic bonus. Every year they will tell you that the company didn't hit the target. Company is not transparent in all these. Terrible turn over rate. Company like to use temp staff or interns to keep it Low cost but at the same time expect the operation folks to maintain high quality with Low quality employees. Frequent pay discrepancies in pay roll. Terrible system. Management appraise staff based on the number of years stayed instead of performance. Doesn't retain real talents.. spent time or money on the wrong person. Director always caught spending time outside or near his home instead of doing the real work. Mgmt doesn't practice discipline.

Pros

This is a good place to work because they adopt new technologies and new methods fairly quickly. So I get to learn a lot. People are generally interested in helping each other out, so if you have a question, it’s not hard to find someone who can help you.

Cons

This company likes to rely on proper process and chain of command decision making. This is good for people who know the system, but it’s bad for those who have great ideas, but don’t know who to talk to or how to get things done. In the end, it’s all about the bottom line, so if you have an idea that will make money for the company, it will be well received. But if it’s a long tail type of solution, there’s little margin of error.

I saw the decline

Pros

I worked Full-Time in the Head Office in Beijing China. When HiSoft and VanceInfo merged into Pactera the decline was starting. Before it was a great company (VanceInfo) which really cared about their employees. But during the transition period you could see where they were headed to. Pro: some lovely Co-Workers, if you work overtime your department will take care of dinner and taxi home, for foreigners not too much pressure, payment was always on time and correct

Cons

blown up management, left hand doesn´t know what right hand is doing, they put huge pressure on chinese co-workers which work for average salary insane hours. If they can´t keep up they are gone after 6 months. that leads to a lot of fluctuation and bad office mood. for part-timers and freelancers, i was managing them, I can not recommend this company. I was forced to let good people go because management didn´t like them for some reason, people are being lied to.
