Pros

Great salary. PagerDuty core product is great.

Cons

Too much pressure to cross sell non PagerDuty core products. Fire drill each month to fill out new forms sr leadership wants. Seems like mgmt doesn’t know what the bell they are doing and guessing. If a bigger deal closes they cling on trying to repeat that.

Toxic Sales Leaders

Pros

Deeply embedded in many customers today so we aren't getting ripped out easily.

Cons

Leadership has been firing at will...even top performers. The recent push is for toxic, gun-to-your-head sales leaders that lead with a stick, and this shift is being encouraged from the top down.

Pros

The product/service is industry leading. It is a much better solution for enterprise incident response than its competitors.

Cons

The sales leadership has unrealistic expectations about scaling new customers. New customers scale slowly because the customer success team is anemic and inexperienced. The company is so focused on generating 1 billion in ARR that they are forgetting that they need to figure out how to reach 500 million in ARR first. Company values and culture stops at the sales team's front door. But, that isn't much different than any other Silicon Valley or San Francisco based IT company.
