      Corruption in management

      Decent pay with minimal experience

      Management here is shady... They pick favorites around here, they "laid off" 90% of a shift department without warning. Management came in Friday morning at 5am on June 19th and gathered that shift into a room where they would be later fired. Now i know what you're thinking, didn't they just say lay off? Yes, but thats what they told us but instead they bullied these employees trying to get the to sign a paper that states: termination AND not being able to work for this company or ANY company affiliated with them. In the computers, it states that all those individuals were terminated in the system. They then went along and told these people that they would be the "first" ones they call back, this company does nothing but lie.

      Stringent cost controls have long term consequences

      Pros

      Pall was a stable place to work, with strong technologies and IP, even when there were reorganization changes. Many people I worked with had been with the company for a long time and were smart, fully engaged, and really cared about their fellow associates.

      Cons

      Pall undertook a massive cost control effort after it was acquired and applied downward pressure on spending everywhere, no matter how profitable the local entity was. This was grating for me and my colleagues as we felt that our outstanding growth performance was not matched by the investment by the company in the business unit, especially as the experience was not lived by the remote managers making the decisions.

      Excellent people at the lower level of supervision and operations

      Cons

      Mismanaged company by management at upper levels. Constantly revolving door at lower management levels. Benefits slowly getting nicked away. Just got what used to be a paid holiday off...as a paid holiday that has to be worked. A company that clearly doesn't care about their employees well being.
