New management, lots of changes

Pros

Successful position in cybersecurity, seemingly great reputation in the industry in a rapidly growing and competitive space. Over 60,000 customers. Nice RSU & bi-annual (pay for performance) bonuses.

Cons

In the last year, new management has changed and the corporate culture is much more competitive vs. collaborative, with "silos" working independently. Very little opportunity to advance, esp. with senior management bringing in former employees, so not much chance for promotions. Salary increases are now rare, with last year only a "standard of living increase." Unless you are at the top of the "bell curve," it's nearly impossible to receive much of an increase.

Cisco cronies takeover in HQ R&D

Pros

-Pay is very good for high achievers -Leadership has stepped up during Covid

Cons

The new leadership in R&D at HQ are bringing in their own people, filling open jobs without the hiring managers approval... with friends, this is a full Cisco takeover! The talk of diversity is a complete joke... we only hire people from the one company.... oh and by the way, we stayed so far away from Cisco in the past, and this is exactly why. Politics and cronyism has taken over. Everyone who has been here for more than two years is embarrassed with the current company culture. I am convinced that the CPO that runs engineering and product is no longer in charge. Nikesh does not care about the company culture... he literally steps in and changes the product roadmaps without consulting the product team. There will be a mass exodus coming ... Just watch. Honestly, it is sad and will someday be a b-school case study of what not to do with a hyper growth company.
