Pros

industry Leader: Palo Alto Networks is a recognized leader in the cybersecurity industry, and working there provides an opportunity to gain valuable experience in this field. Learning Opportunities: The company offers various training programs and resources to help employees enhance their skills and knowledge, which can benefit career development.

Cons

Micromanagement: One of the most significant drawbacks was the excessive micromanagement from our District Sales Manager. Their lack of management experience created an oppressive work environment that stifled creativity. Toxic Workplace: The workplace culture was undeniably toxic, characterized by high quotas and unrealistic expectations. This led to an incredibly stressful atmosphere that took a toll on employees' well-being. Incompetent Sales Overlays: Some of the sales overlays, often referred to as "speedboats," displayed a noticeable lack of competence. This hindered collaboration and made it challenging to achieve our goals. Lack of Accountability: Accountability issues were prevalent within the system engineering team, which had consequences for the organization as a whole. The absence of accountability added to the overall frustration.

Pros

Great technology and smart people. Great pay and RSUs.

Cons

Super stressful environment. Upper management killed the culture. Now we are seeing an enormous talent drain that will alter the company's trajectory forever. We are still riding on the coat-tails of their NGFWs and embedded base. We are late to the party with endpoint and cloud and that's continuing to carve into our customer base.

Pros

Company provides large equity incentives and the stock has performed extremely well. The company is also staffed with a lot of talent.

Cons

Company culture is frenetic and demanding. There are pockets where people seem to have work/life balance and the rest do not. The company feels like a giant start-up that never built sustainable processes or infrastructure, and the amount of churn has left few people in place who know how things were duct-taped together. This has only been exacerbated by new product lines and GTM motions.
