Pros

Free lunch on Wednesdays. Decent starting pay

Cons

Raises are absolutely minimal. It's becoming a Google and Uber company with disrespectful people in high positions. Job is constantly changing with no advance notice of new responsibilities. It's more a play it by ear kind of thing. The 401K is a joke here. The company is more focused on separating people with individual groups rather than celebrating everybody as a whole.

Pros

Beautiful campus. CEO seems really, really strong but has surrounded himself with subpar lieutenants. Amazing technology and a really great forward looking product roadmap.

Cons

Abusive culture. Highly critical, disorganized really just a horrible place. Execs allowed to belittle, demean and verbally abuse cross functional partners and staff with no repercussions even when reported. No managing down only up. Pay practices are ridiculous but don’t worry if you come from Google like the rest of them, you’ll be paid out of range, above market, whatever it takes. If you’re not a Googler, well then tuff luck! A new bunch of leaders that think they’re better than everyone else. Take note-you’re not. Your pooh smells too! Unrealistic expectations and goals that really aren’t communicated, you’re just expected to know. I’m sure it varies but department but little to no on-boarding so you’re just stabbing in the dark and then reprimanded. If you look at their backgrounds, they really have ever built anything. They’ve all joined companies like Google, Oracle, Uber etc after the building and heavy lifting was done.

Pros

The RSU’s and health benefits. Stronghold still on Network security by Fortinet and others are chipping away and have become a concern. Some good cloud acquisitions that still need to be solidified.

Cons

Most will admit it’s a tough place to work It is my understanding that fewer than half of sellers make their goal let alone exceed them. Still highly dependent on firewall business. A good amount of turnover exists in the field as well. Not sure if it’s above industry average. Many stay simply to secure the RSU’s which is what helps counteract turnover. Recent influx of middle management in particular from competitors that do little than run internal calls to ask you what you are doing and sit on other internal management calls. Lots of changes coming with partner programs which will hurt many more traditional players that are not building services capabilities especially around the cloud. Annual Reviews are a joke and they have all but stopped providing additional incentives but for the very top tier. Unnecessary internal competition amongst the channel Company ultimately wants to have customers consume many of the cloud products in particular via a marketplace rather than through resellers
