Pros

- Free meal every shift worked - Good pay - Experienced team members are likely to teach new hires efficient and effective means of doing their jobs - Friendly work environment most of the time

Cons

- Steep learning curve for back of house - Promotions within the Southern Nevada region depend on the ACO to make time to proctor associates for competency tests; however, it is common for many employees to have promotion assessments that are long overdue (months overdue) as a result of priority mismanagement on behalf of the ACO

Pros

They give you better pay than most, you get a lot of leniency in arrival times to work, and you can eat free meals multiple times a day, at least for the location I worked at

Cons

Kitchen help is an awful job. With the current staff shortages, you will be cooking both the sides and washing dishes, plus a bunch of other less frequent tasks. Being in the front of the house is infinitely easier, both on the work load and hours, as sometimes you are made to stay longer as back to the house due to the cleaning needed to close down the restaurant. Only consider back of the house if you're really strong and really need the extra dollar
