Pros

-Job stability: Panda is a monopoly in its segment -Free gym and sometimes food at corporate office -Sometimes free classes -Medical benefits, 401K, profit sharing after certain levels (vested over 5 years), 13 days vacation -Flexible schedule -Diversity in the employees

Cons

-Excessively heavy workload - flexible schedule doesn't really matter when you're doing 2 or 3 people's job -Below market compensation = lower quality coworkers -Long time managers and directors are unqualified for their jobs and wouldn't be hired today -Cult like culture pressuring Landmark classes and formerly Life Academy - ($400-2000/class out of your own pocket) -No matter how they dress it up, it's fast food.

Pros

Management is allowed to get a lot of overtime, though 68-70 hrs per week is taxing on a person.

Cons

Since I started working for Panda as an Assistant Manager in December 2012, the company made some drastic changes. One of the worst was when they cut the number of people allowed per shift, which made our job much more difficult when someone called in or just didn't show up.

Pros

Get paid a couple bucks over minimum wage + nice store location, I guess.

Cons

Manager has a history of racism, ableism, lying, abuse, and many other issues. Some other PIC have the same issues. New employees aren't properly trained, if at all. Promises of promotion are never followed through with, but they will still make you do the work as if you have been promoted. Injuries and health are not taken seriously, often encouraging employees to come in or continue working, even when incredibly sick. Many employees have had issues with lack of consistent scheduling. Time off requests that have been approved of months in advance can (and have been) suddenly retracted and denied days before said date without valid reason. Many employees don't work at this location for longer than a couple of months due to the issues, resulting in lack of consistency. When applying, they advertise full time and benefits, but when hired refuse to give anyone full time. Absolutely no work/life balance. I am so incredibly traumatized from what I went through working at this location I am unable to safely work in a public environment anymore without my health being put at extreme risk.
