Pros

Benefits, Pay, Bonus and Free Meal

Cons

I started working with panda 2012. I left panda year of 2020 during Covid. I had a bad experiences when I was assistant manager before. Some leaders have favoritism, unfortunately do not care about you, They are hypocrite people. They gossip about their employees when you do something wrong and the whole area talks about you. They do not appreciate or value the good things you do, they only see the bad things and make it seem very badly. There is no work and life balance. Long hours, no quality time for your family. They don’t care about your health, only their bonuses! apparently, I reapplied to my old area, I thought i would be able to go back, the new ACO for my old area called me that i can come back. I submitted my application, then I got emailed for background check , then couple hours passed by, the manager texted me to call him, I called him then he said I got denied, I am shook, when I just did background check for another job I passed, I am independent contractor for DoorDash, Personal liaison, and I was working for a big corporation company three months ago. They are questioning me whether I did something wrong with my application, I doubt it. I input the correct information. So why can’t you be straight forward to me, you don’t want me back. I was excited about returning to work. It’s all about being truthful with your words! We’re all human beings who have feelings because you would feel the same way. I am sure you will be upset. It’s not acceptable why would they lie for! Be real and Man up with your words!

Pros

Free meals, 401k, tuition reimbursement, health vision and dental benefits.

Cons

Basically, upper management would micromanage you and expect you to micromanage staff under you. Nit pick every little thing that you “need to do” when its not urgent or doesnt involve food safety. They would force you to join landmark seminars if you are forcibly selected for a management role. Upper management and the company are like a cult and expect all their staff to think and act the same way. They all want everyone to have the same beliefs and they will shun you if you think differently. They will promise you a bonus, either you will get a 100 dollar bonus which is nothing what they say youd get or you will get nothing at all. They claim to have integrity and transparency which they are anything but that. Constantly lie to you and will not give you honest answers, ex. Asking about turnover rate. They will avoid answering that to prevent you from being discouraged from accepting the job. They dont care about employee safety and open stores in the hood. Bring security concerns to them and you are ignored until things actually happen, then its the associates fault. Instead of fixing issues or listening they always say, “im sorry you experienced this, please feel free to reach out to the my voice matter program. “

Pros

The pay for a QSR style restaurant is fairly high. Depending on your store and how well you manage it you can make over 6 figures a year - great benefits - Good managers to work with at other stores - AOC and MUM's want you to succeed and will help you achieve those goals. - Get to make your own schedule

Cons

- No work life balance - Meetings up the wazoo. You can't manage your store if your not there - Upper management loses sight of lower management goals because they are so concerned about thriving in the culture - Upwards movement isn't really there. If you are trying to get to Area Coach (District Managers) and above it's almost impossible. There is some relocation you can do but it's hard because not a lot of them want to leave when they are making 500k+ a year. - Staff turnover is huge in this company mainly because you have a set pay you can pay them in your area that is set by corporate. It makes it so we are not competitive in the market for that area.
