Pros

- Opportunity to make 6 figures as a GM - Bc it is a challenging job, I learned a lot about myself, others, leadership, business, etc.. - My Training Leader was absolutely amazing & very supportive - Opportunities for growth in the company - My team. They are what kept me going.

Cons

- You can forget having any sort of a work/life balance bc most weeks you’re working 60+ physically, mentally, & emotionally demanding hours a week. - Upper Management was very condescending & manipulative. More like drill sergeants lol. I always understood & appreciated the high expectations but I wish more mercy was shown from them during the peak of Covid. - Ample risk of getting injured. From large burns to deep cuts to tendinitis (BOH mostly) - Didn’t have any assistant manager & was at a high volume store which was too much responsibility for 1 person - They promote “healthy happy lifestyle” but make it near impossible for managers to achieve that. - Pay for associates wasn’t enough for the amount of work they do

Pros

Learning great leadership skills through Landmark. Learning how to run clean restaurant operations. Good pay because of overtime 50+ hours expected weekly open to close management, or you could work for a different company and make higher hourly wage 40 hrs per week.

Cons

Poor work life balance, for example I worked for 4 years as a manager and never got a vacation. When asking upper management for vacation i was always made to feel bad for requesting time away, often saying that if I took a vacation I don’t care about my job. I was also passed up for promotion even though I performed the next role for over a year.

Slave labor

Pros

The pay is good if you don't divide it by hours worked.

Cons

Andrew churn makes his billions off the backs of upper management working like slaves. Only one day to half a day off per week. Full day meetings that last until 1 am. The higher up you reach, the more you spend time faking that your numbers and stores are perfect before the higher ups visit. So much time wasted on meetings that don't matter instead of focusing on your own stores.
