Pros
When I began working at Panera, it was fantastic. The pay was comparably good to similar jobs, I was promoted to Associate Trainer within a few months, and the management was positive. Our turnover rate was remarkably low the first year I worked there, and being franchised really facilitated an atmosphere that made every employee feel welcome and appreciated. It was fun.
Cons
After the location I worked at went corporate, the turnover rate increased and management became more negative. Most of the policy changes made it more difficult to do our jobs well; most new hires were brought on out of desperation, and many of them were incompetent and difficult to train.
