      An experience of never knowing if you'll be employed tomorrow.

      Pros

      Good Benifits, Reasonable pay, Can be a fun experience, Time flies by because the pace is brisk, A place to be proud to work because of the high quality baked goods, specialty sandwiches, soups and salads. Can develop great relationships with cafe guests.

      Cons

      They boast about importance of "Family time" and "Personal Health" and a 45 hour work week, however if you only work 45 hours or strive to work only 45 hours, you are constantly on the "Hot Seat". They don't give you time within your scheduled hours to perform the administrative responsibilities of your position. You have to finish them on your own time.

      Good coworkers, great discount, you can get time off if you prepare enough ahead

      call ins at the very last minute, micromanagement, chaos when it becomes busy, sometimes unorganized

      Pros

      The hours are good compared to most food service jobs. The latest you'll get home is 11pm if that. Nice atmosphere. Fast paced environment. Hands-on approach is a must. Lot of teamwork amongst your staff. Great, growing company.

      Cons

      I work for a franchise. Lot of favoritism. Hard to get recognition. Budgets in food cost are very difficult to achieve, they expect the world. Bonuses are so far backed up you'll be lucky to get one which is decent, it's like playing a scratch off ticket.
