Pros

Parallels is definitely the best place to work at. Started working there as a junior support engineer with literally no experience and grew up to a chief support engineer in 4 years gaining huge variety of skills. Working at Parallels you get: - Awesome people to work with - Interesting and challenging job. Working as a "simple" technical engineer you gain serious skills of a system/infrastructure architect. - Wide career opportunities including relocation all over the world - Endless field for improvement. Innovations and personal projects are highly valued by management - Lots of benefits as gym, corporate transport, food, health insurance, certifications

Cons

Despite all the pros there are some cons: 1) Working as a Support Engineer you have to work 4 days a week - 2 night shifts and 2 day shifts. People who cannot change schedule easily might have a hard time working in support. 2) Stress. If you deal with clients you have to be prepared to get some stress. Either you become immune to stress and angry customers, or you'll eventually burn out. Working night/day shifts doesn't really help your mental health either. Besides these 2 points there is a last, but not least one. Some might consider it a pro, but I think it's a "con" after all. it is difficult to move on. Parallels is such a nice place to work at you will not wish to leave even if your career demands new challenges, some people decide to stop growing and keep doing the same job after many years without any intention to change anything. It's too comforting to stay there.
