Unrealistic productivity standards in a paper record environment. Parallon does not have a true EHR but they want 4 charts an hour (some of the patients stay for weeks, months, 4 charts an hour on average is unrealistic) AHIMA standards are 3 charts/hour in an electronic record environment. Training is short and management will write you up after first mistake. Cannot claim email for downtime productivity, but are forced to read and respond to multiple emails on a daily basis. PTO is almost impossible to be approved, only decently treated employees are the managers favorites. You will be talked down to in a condescending manner. Pay is very low compare to competitors. Sweatshop in a modern age, basically.
After so many real bad reviews, few very good ones appear, not a coincidence. Stay away from this company and look for a position where you will feel valued. Very high turnover and no room for growth. Not the ideal work-life balance (difficult to obtain approved vacation). Management often plays the intimidation card to get what they want. Management unethical at times, play favorites; HR will be biased towards management.
