There is NO Pharmacy Professional culture. The corporation is not interested in the best interests of the patient or the Hospital staff (including Pharmacists, Nurses and others.) The mission of this component of Parallon is simply to SAVE money (not spend.) There is a disconnect between hospital management their goals and Parallon goals for the DOP. Corporate Pharmacy manages EVERYTHING about how you run your Pharmacy. The Director is just an implementor and not a leader. Furthermore, don't expect anyone from corporate to ask your opinion or solicit your expertise even if you have significant knowledge of the subject. The Pharmacy operations and clinical components are about 17 years behind the times from the rest of the Hospital Pharmacy market. There is no work life balance; you are expected to work 24 X 7 (if you want to meet their arbitrary deadlines.) You are judged on made up and arbitrary benchmarks that have little analytic substance behind them. The entire corporation manages to these. You can get terminated if you are not all "GREEN"

Upper management staff has a bully mentality. Career advancement was not encouraged within the division. Transferring to different departments within the HCA family was discouraged. Communicate between the Physician Group and Hospitals is horrible. Hospital and the Shared Service was adversary. 6plus years as a employee, yearly increase are minimal. Bonus's have been taken away.
