Great work-life balance but layoffs and corporate challenges
Pros
- Great work life balance with flexible PTOs. - Great talented people to work with. - Great products to work on. - Decent benefits. - Good compensation.
Cons
- Lots of layoffs happening out of nowhere (I survived 3 layoffs as of now) impacting the work morale. - The end of remote work (a decision from new CEO after merging with Skydance) definitely is not a good news to get. - They are an entertainment company, not a software company. So depending on the project there ins't much room to implement software the right way in the timeframe you have. - It's a huge corporate ecosystem, so expect many layers of interactions and approvals even for simple things to get done. It's also hard to find the right people about legacy systems or even to understand where the data might come from.
