Good for Career Building

Pros

Good for career building. Pariveda takes the time to grow their employees, and offers many extra curricular material for learning career skills.

Cons

Once you get to a certain level, you will get shoehorned into a management style career. Also, there will be times when the people above you oversell your teams capacity. Sometimes, it appears that the work life "wobble" only seems to wobble in one direction.

Pros

Principals and Vice Presidents are expected to take sabbaticals every five years of service. That doesn't need to be five years at level, Just one needs to be at level. The program is very flexible as to what a person can do while on sabbatical and when they start it. It is possible to add PTO to it to extend it.

Cons

Must be taken as consecutive weeks and must be taken. You can delay your sabbatical up to a year, but you will take it. It is not a optional benefit and you cannot exchange it for extra compensation.
