Great place to grow

Pros

Pariveda has a clear career path transparent and familiar to every single employee. You're expected to fulfill certain expectations at each level and gain exposure to different perspectives and concerns of IT projects. As an entry-level consultant, you're mainly responsible for hands-on implementation. As a manager, you'll become more familiar with project management and planning while leading teams in the field. This allows you to develop yourself into a well-rounded technologist with a solid technical foundation as well as good management experience. Working at Pariveda also provides the opportunity to work with different technologies across the spectrum, so you're less likely to be stuck on any one thing for an extended period of time.

Cons

Given the nature of a consulting company, it is impossible to always find the perfect project for someone. There will be times when you're staffed on a project that doesn't match your interest or isn't using the latest and greatest technology framework. There will also be travel, even though the company does its best to keep people local. The company's pay scale is completely transparent, and the only way to get a raise is by being promoted (eligible once a year). While most people appreciate the transparency, some may see it as restrictive.

Pros

Fast track your career with a company that is all about personal growth. Clearly defined career path takes the politics out of promotions. The "Expectations Framework" defines exactly what qualifications you must meet to be promoted at every level of the company. Work Life Balance: I've worked an average of 42 hours a week the past 2 years. Everyone gets 4-5 weeks of PTO right from day they start. You don't just get coworkers, you get a family. People really care here and after hours get togethers are abundant (both formal and informal). Very competitive salary and benefits.

Cons

From what I've heard, some other companies might pay you a slightly higher salary, but some other companies might also work you like a dog and treat you like a resource.
