Pros

PPT is a strong entry point for college grads looking to develop foundational sales skills, particularly in a high-volume, transactional sales environment. Park Place offers extensive exposure to the full sales cycle, making it an excellent stepping stone to learn prospecting, pipeline management, and deal execution at scale. Leadership maintains a highly visible presence throughout the sales process, providing frequent oversight, and real-time involvement at virtually every stage of a deal. Managers take an especially active role in coaching, regularly reviewing recorded calls and often listening in live to provide immediate feedback and identify teachable moments as they happen. For individuals who appreciate a collaborative management style and consistent visibility from leadership, this level of engagement can create continuous learning opportunities and help ensure alignment across the organization. The pace is fast, priorities evolve quickly, and success often favors those who are highly adaptable, receptive to feedback, and comfortable operating within a closely managed environment.

Cons

As with many rapidly growing organizations, consistency in management practices and resource allocation can vary across teams. Advancement opportunities can at times appear influenced by internal relationships and visibility rather than solely by measurable performance. Territory assignments are another area where employee experiences may differ significantly, with some regions offering substantially greater opportunity, account density, and market potential than others. The company’s culture can also feel highly social, to the point where professional boundaries may become blurred. People who place a premium on maintaining a clear separation between personal and professional relationships may want to carefully evaluate whether Park Place’s environment aligns with your expectations. From an operational standpoint, the business is intensely metrics-driven, with a relentless emphasis on outbound dial activity, This can create an environment where persistence is heavily rewarded, though at times the pressure to maintain activity levels may encourage outreach strategies that some professionals would view as overly aggressive or inconsistent with a more consultative approach to selling. Organizational decision-making has, on multiple occasion, raised questions regarding consistency, judgment, and the enforcement of workplace standards, particularly in matters involving personnel and culture. I would strongly suggest you to conduct thorough due diligence to ensure Park Place’s leadership philosophy, ethical expectations, and long-term direction align with your own professional values.

Pros

It’s a great starter job out of college.

Cons

Park place was fun originally. The training program was great, but once I was promoted, there was not a day I wasn’t stressed. I am a high performer and a top rep but sales in general is treated like a middle school. Every second of every day you are watched. They record your phone calls, your conference calls, look at your emails, the big brother feeling is real. That isn’t even the worst part. They always say they are a “people first” company but that is far from the case. Our commissions have been messed up since July of last year. Many of us are owed thousands of dollars but can’t do anything about it. They’ve implemented a Small medium business team and have talked away over 300-500 accounts from each rep. Now we are merging with a large competitor and they are only taking more accounts from us and promoting them when they haven’t even earned their stripes…. The best part is, your quota still raises 20% each year! They expect you to do more with less and then will tell you that you aren’t performing because your “activity is low”. The only way Park Place is a good company is if you stroke managements ego and get under their wing. I’ve seen so many underqualified people get promoted over overly qualified people because of friendships…. They also don’t factor in the difference between territories and those with horrible territories are set up for failure. Lastly…. You can make good money if you grind from a commission perspective but the salary is a joke. There haven’t been raises in YEARS… plus they find ways to get you to make less in commission every year by revising the commission plan. There is no opportunity for growth other than a title change. You don’t get added responsibility or a higher pay…
