During my time at Park Place, I found that creative and marketing roles were significantly undervalued. The culture heavily prioritizes sales, often at the expense of other departments. There was a clear lack of support and recognition for creative contributions, which made it difficult to feel respected or empowered in my role.
Unfortunately, I also experienced a workplace dynamic that seemed to foster gender bias. I observed a consistent pattern where male employees were promoted more frequently and treated with greater respect, while women faced more resistance and fewer opportunities for advancement.
When concerns were raised with HR, they were not taken seriously and, in some cases, seemed to be exacerbated. Toxic leadership behavior—including retaliatory actions and unprofessional outbursts—was tolerated without accountability. I was even advised by leadership that if I was unhappy with my title or pay, it was unlikely to change and that I should consider leaving.
There was a general sense from management that employees were easily replaceable, which contributed to a lack of appreciation and low morale. Instead of investing in employee growth or acknowledging contributions, leadership often made people feel dispensable and undervalued.
Overall, I would caution anyone considering a marketing or creative position here to carefully evaluate whether the environment aligns with your professional values and mental well-being.
