Flexible work schedule and ok pay

Cons

Moving up in the company is hard to do. If you don't know anyone forget it. You take the chance of being cussed at, humiliated, or yelled at on a daily basis. If you make any of the management angry be prepared to have your hours cut. Also, if they call you in you'd better be prepared to work it.

Parker's is very big on promoting from with in. 95% of employees working in management positions have stared out as customer service or deli associates. We are a fast growing company and need people who want to develop and grow with the company. We want all employees to feel comfortable at work, its the people who work in the stores that make Parker's what it is. We do have high standards that is because we want to be the best and we are because of it.

Pros

Very good benefits, if you can make it to a full time position. Visible upper management. A path to upper management from customer service representative or deli worker. This is a great starting job for young people either in high school, or just graduating high school.

Cons

An extreme amount of work for minimum wage. Close to impossible to reach full-time to enjoy the very good benefits. You will definitely need a second job if you are supporting yourself. raises are not as frequent as you are told, and sometimes take over a year to get the first "3 month" raise.
