Pros

Management cares and doesn't try to run one over on you. I haven't met with a lot of different managers but from what I saw they were people looking out for people.

Cons

Some downsides are they contract out to labor ready or people call off a lot so you have to do your job and another person's job while still satisfying the customer.

Amazing coworker environment. Friendly and good communication.

Cons

The pay is much lower because at student Level. Less is expected of you so less is given to you in terms of freedoms and reign of decision making.

Pros

Above average salary for the industry, somewhat decent benefits are available, many members of upper management seem genuinely interested in the thoughts of the "little people".

Cons

Many of the chefs I worked with came from fine dining, and were not told they are now in a cafeteria and that they should make strides to remember it's just a cafeteria, not the 4 diamond kitchen at the top of a tower, and thus act accordingly.
