Pros

The pay and benefits were decent, slightly above market. Co-workers are friendly and helpful, in general.

Cons

Understaffed, dictatorial management style. Employees are expected to be available 24/7, 365 days a year. Regarding vacation, forget it. When my vacation (2 days off) was denied, I was told, "We don't use our vacation time. We sell it back at the end of the year." Work-life balance was nonexistent, and I felt disrespected and devalued as an employee.

HCA is CHEAP. Continuously expected to do the work of two or three people, raises are a joke and management will not fight for technical salary increases.
