      Pros

      Deliver info people actually want/need to know. Get to do some of everything. Benefits are pretty good! Freedom to do what you want (as long as you do enough of it).

      Cons

      Old editor left and new one was unable to actually manage staff or edit bc he was overloaded and probably just in over his head, and compensated by having a maniacal and exclusive focus on page views. Nothing else mattered and it drove me insane.

      Work at home, flexibility, good resources

      Cons

      Unreasonable schedule demands. No true vacation days or holidays because employees are required to schedule stories for when they are off. News can break at all hours, and employees are expected to cover events even if they put in a full day.
