Pros

The director at the Mason location was extremely understanding and there was a lot of potential for the daycare. Everyone mostly supported each other and I feel like the team that I had at the time was what made the job more tolerable, outside of the kids, of course.

Cons

The center was not ready to be open when I worked there. We didn’t have a playground because of the lack of fences and even then, the indoor gym was fairly lackluster that the kids would get bored extremely quickly. Due to lack of enrollments, full-time staff were pretty much forced to work part-time hours and suffered pay cuts, which was why I eventually left after not being able to take it for much longer.

Pros

Working for Pathways Learning Academy has been a truly rewarding experience. Pathways places a strong emphasis on creating a warm, nurturing environment not only for the children but also for the staff. Management is supportive and approachable. They provide clear communication, helpful guidance, and regular check-ins that make you feel valued and heard. Professional development is a clear priority here. The team culture is exceptional—colleagues collaborate well, share ideas openly, and support one another in managing both the joys and challenges of early childhood education. Overall, this is an excellent employer for anyone passionate about early childhood education. Their commitment to high standards, staff support, and a caring atmosphere makes it a wonderful place to grow as a childcare professional.

Cons

Working with young children requires constant energy, patience, and emotional regulation. The management and other staff are great at assisting when needed!
