Pros

The flexibility and benefits are good

Cons

Pax8 is filled with smart, passionate people and genuinely has the potential to be a fantastic place to grow your career. There’s a lot of energy, innovation, and opportunity — especially if you’re self-driven which is why I joined in the first place. However, the recent push toward IPO seems to be creating an identity crisis. Teams are moving fast, but not always in sync. Communication can be siloed, and it always feels like no one really knows what the others are doing. The culture, which was once heavily people-focused, is starting to show strain under performance pressure. Expectations are sometimes unclear, especially in new or evolving roles, and there isn’t always the structure or support you’d expect from a company growing at this pace.

It's great to hear that you value the flexibility and benefits we offer, and that the energy and innovation at Pax8 align with your reasons for joining. We understand your concerns about the impact of our more transformative growth journey, as we scale up in both size, span and ambition to deliver the marketplace of the future. Maintaining clear communication and team alignment is a priority for us but we acknowledge we do not always get it right and are working hard on this. Your observation about the strain on our people-focused culture is important. While our company culture can and must evolve as we grow, we are committed to maintaining our people first DNA. Thank you for your contributions and for helping us identify areas for improvement. Your feedback is invaluable as we strive to foster a workplace where every team member can thrive. Pros

Pax8 offers an excellent work-life balance, with flexible time off and leadership that genuinely encourages its use—this helped prevent burnout and supported long-term engagement. The people are fantastic to work with, and the overall culture is vibrant and collaborative.

Cons

Over time, the company’s priorities appear to have shifted away from being truly partner-first, with more focus placed on appeasing the investor board. With each passing year, Pax8 has begun to resemble a more traditional distributor. The once-unique culture has started to feel more homogenized. Additionally, sales goals were frequently changed mid-cycle, which created unnecessary stress and confusion.

Thank you for sharing your feedback about your time at Pax8. We genuinely appreciate your acknowledgment of our work-life balance and collaborative culture. These are core aspects of our company, and it's great to know they made a positive impact during your tenure. We understand your concerns about the shift in priorities and the pressure it may create. Part of our commitment to our partners is paving the way to serve their future needs, not just what they need and want from us today. We understand that maintaining the balance of performing for our partners while transforming is challenging and where we may have over indexed to future state we are working hard to right things such as our current focus on improving billing. Thank you for your contributions and for helping us reflect on how we can improve. We wish you the best of luck in your next chapter.
