Pros

Paychex is a great company with lots of resources and a great training program.

Cons

If you are a sales rep you better be self-motivated, you are basically running your own business with their tools.

Pros

Ability to develop and strengthen my knowledge of federal and local law and deepen my ability to consult clients through challenging employee relations. I'm constantly learning and growing. Tools - Paychex gives us all the tools we need - access to legal updates, WIFI for traveling, mileage/expense reimbursement, Skype for staying connected while remote, etc. Flexibility - This is a huge plus. We can set our own hours (generally surround the M-F 8-5 shift) and work from home when we don't need to see clients. We have infrequent internal meetings. The HRG role is paid hourly - so we are eligible for overtime.

Cons

The pay is about average for an HRG role, and below average for an HR Manager role. Some of the work we do feels more at the HR Manager level, but we are paid at the HRG level. Workload - we carry a heavy workload at times. I've been working about 50 hour weeks lately, but that can vary from year to year and team to team.

Pros

This place is employee focus. They care about advancement and wanting to improve your current status. If you like to stay in one position that’s fine but if you want to move around and learn everything, they will show you how and what you need to do to get where you want.

Cons

They have a lot of potlucks. People gain weight. Training is self paced, and you have to be very disciplined to keep up.
