Pros

Great base pay and an amazing industry

Cons

You see how they got a 1 star and then got SIX 5 star reviews in the same day a month later? Thats how the office is ran. Things happen and your left to wonder if it was intentional malice. Very unethical. If you know someone in the company there is room for you to grow.. your performance is not an indicator on how much success you will find. The relationships you build or don’t build will determine that. The way they are aloud to run an office with so much favoritism surprises me. Outside of that.. they do not provide you with quality leads. It is a very stressful work environment. 90% of the office does not hit their quota. Most people being fresh out of college with no experience and leaders that are also inexperienced with no real advice to offer. It could be that and not the actual job.

Pros

You will be lied to about the pros

Cons

You are better off not having a job than working here. Micromanagement and turnover are beyond anything you have seen before. This place is a hostile workplace. Certain favorites are given big advantages and the rest are scolded and treated like children. Quotas are way higher than you will ever hit unless you are one of the handful of reps being given favors. Fear and punishment are used to "motivate" you. Very few hit quota and at least a third of the reps are on some kind of PIP. Even new reps who have only worked a few months are put on performance plans because they are expected to meet impossible metrics and goals. The customers you call are angry because Paychex has harassed them to the point of needing a restraining order. You will be very much mislead about the "OTE" . Recent big layoffs show that their business model is broken and the company is in trouble. Stay far away.

Pros

There are literally no pros.

Cons

My experience was overshadowed by a supervisor spreading false, inappropriate rumors about my personal life. Despite reporting this to HR, the individual was allowed to remain in their position, creating a hostile environment. It is shocking that a payroll and HR giant struggles so significantly with its own internal HR ethics. If you value a workplace that protects you from character assassination, look elsewhere.
