Hard work and late hours, but beyond worth the money that comes with the hard work.

The Paycom Kool-Aid got sour

Pros

-Senior Specialist pay -soda for a quarter in the vending machines -teammates -the facilities are nice -they seem to be understanding if you have to call in sick every once in awhile. You didn’t feel like job was in jeopardy if you or your kid got sick .

Cons

-if you add your children to your insurance the deduction goes from a dollar per paycheck to about 130 -team leaders push you away to other members of the team when you need help. -PSD is the middle man between the client and several of our other departments such as tax, benefits, legal, HCM, PPA team. This causes frustration for the client and PSD takes the heat for it. -the daily update videos are not helpful and seem to be just a checklist item. - PSD always has stuff added to their workload but nothing is ever reduced. -who’s bright idea was it to take away the TSS position? Now that specialists have to do almost all of their own payrolls it consumes almost their entire days work on Tuesdays and Wednesday’s. I spent hours doing payrolls which caused me to not be able to respond to client emails in a timely manner . That causes clients to be frustrated and complain which gets the Specialist in trouble .TSS primary role was doing payrolls which was a great benefit to the teams.

Pros

I love the culture, events and everything they do for employees. From catered lunches daily, to the new micro market, a free gym the list goes on and on. Also my manager is great at helping me grow and excel in my role, which i think a lot of other leaders do for their teams across the company as well.

Cons

Traffic getting in and out of work.

Thank you for your feedback and we are so glad you enjoy the culture we have here at Paycom and are happy to see that you are growing and excelling in your position with the help of your manager. We are aware of the challenges regarding traffic and have hired off-duty police officers to help direct traffic at the end of the day to make departures as safe and efficient as possible.
