Pros

earning potential, if your name doesn't get picked out of a hat.

Cons

Paycom has a weird philosophy as hire & fire. I was there a short time and saw several of my colleagues, hired the same time as me, let go without cause. I had rose colored glasses with the salary and commission plan. I saw all of the testimonials about ruthless hours, no life, horrid management etc., but was willing to suffer and bust my butt, sacrificing pretty much my entire life and wellbeing. Despite my consistency in hitting metrics, receiving positive feedback all around, and putting in the extra hours & effort, I too was let go without cause. I saw this in previous reviews and assumed that those people were just disgruntled and bad at their jobs... that is not the case. You're looking at a few months of hard work and pride before they fire you, again, WITHOUT CAUSE. In a few of my peers cases, they even went as far to makeup causes, which were easily disproven. Something weird is going on here, stay away, safe yourself the torment.

Unsustainable and Unsupportive Warzone

Pros

- Challenging projects - Decent compensation - Work with fun, hardworking, helpful teammates - Solid benefits and resources - Nice office and campus - Great internship program

Cons

A constant warzone of cutthroat office politics and burn and churn strategies to prioritize unsustainable short-term gains over healthy long-term success. Job security is virtually nonexistent, so be prepared to fear for your job and your colleagues every day who are trying their best. It's ultimately every man for himself.

Pros

-$4 lunches(Qdoba, Raising Canes, Chic-Fil-A, etc) -$1 health insurance -Meritocratic promotion system(promotions based on how much clean code you write and deploy) -Decent pay and stock options -Team placement plays a HUGE role in how happy you will be here -6 figure salary for entry level

Cons

-Tech Stack a little outdated -Legacy code base sucks(but that’s like most companies with legacy code) -Business casual dress code(polo and slacks). But you can wear sneakers -Training is non-existent. Very little guidance.
