Pros

* $1 health insurance * Pet Insurance * Coworkers * Pay is decent (for some depts) *Gym access *Be wary of the some of the positive reviews. They've been sending out emails to employees basically hounding them to leave good reviews on here. So take them with a grain of salt.

Cons

* Corrupt Leadership * Toxic work environment *Training, at least for the tax department is not the best. * I can only say this from a tax point of view, but they put people in TL positions that have never filed that tax type before. These "leaders" have no idea how to do the actual work or the job requirements for the specialists that they're supposed to "lead and support". * TLs, supervisors and managers act like high-school mean girls instead of professionals. * They seem to also have a nasty habit of firing people without cause. HR loves to refuse to tell people why they're being let go, just that "they are not obligated to tell you". *Paycom claims to have an open door policy but people are scared to go to leadership or HR about problems occurring up there. Instead of addressing a situation where someone felt bullied by another coworker on a daily basis, they decided it was easier to fire the person reaching out for help instead of the bully. * If you're not a favorite, there's almost no job security, no matter how much you excel in your role. * Leadership shows that it's a popularity contest when it comes to promotions instead of the position going to someone who actually knows what they're doing.

Pros

$4 lunches $1 health insurance That’s absolutely it

Cons

Where do I even begin for cons? When I interviewed I was promised a lot of things, FLEX time, job security, possibility of working from home if needed, casual dress code, 18 vacation days, and a great company that values families and puts them first. As soon as I started a work from home option was completely off the table, and never truly something the hiring team should have promised me. I went through 3 cycle release changes in 1 year and was expected to pick up on the new changes instantly, and was told by upper management it was a “sink or swim” type of company. Soon after that all of the new policy changes started to happen. We went from smart casual dress code to business casual with a week’s notice. Clear bag policy (which was revoked after all the complaints), no more FLEX time, gym hours being reduced to only being open during lunch, and many other minor things which just kept adding up. On top of all of this they started a new metrics policy for QA where we were told “the more work you put out the faster you get a raise”, this was not true at all. Many people doing the work of multiple people themselves were getting less points of those only getting one or two issues out a release. When asked about it to upper management all they had to say was they “couldn’t explain it”. Paycom also prides itself on never having any layoffs, but that’s not true at all. They just fire you for minuscule reasons when they are hurting for money every other quarter after getting the numbers back and seeing that sticking to the old ways doesn’t keep the business afloat and they need a quick cash out to buy themselves out of any hole. The people also being fired conveniently had previously put in FMLA, were about to get a raise, had questioned a new policy change, or simply had to call into work last minute due to school closures for severe weather. Yet, they can keep an employee accused and proven guilty of sexual harassment. They are losing people left and right either for firing people for “performance”, “no longer being a good fit for the company”, or people quitting from being so burnt out from being overworked and underpaid they feel the need to leave even without another job lined up. The morale is so bad here that I personally knew complete teams where everyone was seeking jobs elsewhere in hopes of leaving this company. When the morale being low was brought up to upper management all they had to say was “it’s always going to be like this here” and they’re right it’s always going to be like this at Paycom until they get a new leadership who actually knows what they are doing and cares about their employees and not their million dollar house and multiple ski trips

Pros

There aren't exactly any pros.

Cons

Management has recently implemented Key Performance Indicators for the service department. It feels like an effort to stop the pay increases. Other departments think low of PSD when we’re the one department that’s speaking with these clients every day. We’re berated mostly due to previous specialists that let their accounts go unattended and new Specialists getting passed a boatload of troubled clients with unresolved issues. While trying to resolve outstanding issues for accounts dating since let’s say 2021, we’re constantly being told that we have to do more. Upper management want us to be proactive instead of reactive. One can’t be proactive with excessive issues that are still pending from 2022 and prior years. Each week there’s always something new that we’re adding to our roles. Just let us get the accounts up to date first. There will constantly be high turnover due to this. Being put down by clients due to prior issues with previous specialists do not make anyone want to stay at a company that allows this. Management is focused on reprimanding employees for outstanding issues. However, don’t punish the new employees for what your older employees weren’t doing. Team leads (some of them) do support but they can only do so much when they’re always in unnecessary meetings and are being told by management that we’re not doing enough.
