Pros

Great building, company supports community involvement, good onsite workout facilities, good base pay. Non client facing positions seem to have happy employees. Good visibility to the CEO.

Cons

While base pay is good, it does not make up for the hours you will have to work, and not just during peak times. Work/life balance does not exist, and is taking a serious toll on employees. Inexperienced management does not know how to work with employees and cause a high levels of anxiety. The company says that they want to attract top talent, but are not competitive with their benefits, and can't retain the talent they have. Terrible understaffing does not align with "Taking care of the customer first". Allowing sales to drive timelines and forcing customers to implement when they aren't ready in order to meet sales goals isn't a smart strategy, and is creating poor customer retention rates. For a company that is as established as Paycor, you would think that it is a start up. Processes simply don't exist.

Pros

Nice building with nice features such as cafeteria, gym, walking path outside, etc. High level executives keep a focus on trying to improve cultures. Host after work events that can be fun. Give back to the community.

Cons

Very poor structure, major growing pains, inexperienced (terrible) middle management. The managers are very lazy and not quick to help when clients are requesting to speak with them. Major focus on the wrong area. Want to improve client experience, yet give us more work which doesn't allow you to do so. Favoritism and catty behavior. Very poor training which also contributes to poor client experience. They ask advice on how to improve but don't take it.

Pros

Decent pay (though, long hours doesn't justify it at times), SOME occasionally good people to work with; nice building.

Cons

It's vastly understaffed. It's a business built on sales (as many are), but they staff in real time for volume, without planning ahead for the next push of sales, quarter ends, and Year Ends. They do not back up in anticipation for someone leaving the company for any period of time. Furthermore, it takes them 6 months to hire a replacement when an employee (inevitably) quits the company. Little to no room for actual advancement. If you are entry level, you may move up to a higher job family title, but don't plan on becoming management or leadership - those roles are reserved for UD Grads and former Vantiv and 5/3 employees. The person who said he/she does not see downsides is, in my opinion, still in the phase of trying to become the next director, though he/she rarely has a chance. To the same guy: I work 60 hours a week. Not because I want to, but because if I didn't, I would not be able execute my projects, and would be let go.
