Pros

You get paid weekly which could be a good or bad thing for some people. I personally enjoyed receiving a pay check every week. Customers aren't too bad Music isn't boring to listen to Discount is ok

Cons

If it isn't Back to School season or a holiday it can be a very boring place to work If you like working in a fast paced environment, Payless isn't the place for you. I didnt mind because I liked having a lot of down time on some days. Also, there are TOO many rules and guidelines for sales associates to go by.

Pros

Pros -If there is a good manager and district manager for your store than it is a good place to work.

Cons

Cons - In the five plus years I have been there I have never seen the company fire anyone. At my store there have been many people who simply don't work instead of being fired they are moved to another store. A previous store manager was incapable of managing the store and was emotionally unstable she was simply moved to another store. The district manager for my region now was a district manager at another region before but received so many complaints there that she was moved to this region. So for six store managers have quit because of the current district manager. But nothing is being done. I myself have tried to contact my district manger's boss but there has been no response. At payless you have to get use to doing a lot of work with no recognition and little pay.
