Pros

It is said that the funnest people to be with are salespeople, that is true about the people working in National Sales Support at Paylocity. This department if filled with great people, with great work ethics, in a fun environment. That is a recipe for success. I worked in NSS as a rep for 19 months and I enjoyed the experience it gave me and the people that I was able to meet. Casual work environment, no suits and ties. The relaxed environment allowed me to work harder. While there is a ton of fun to be had within the department, especially within the Game Room, we do work hard. It is not uncommon to see reps that choose to stay an extra 3 hours on certain nights of the week. They aren't forced to do this, they are just that driven. If that's not a reflection of the people within the department and the strength of the management team, then I don't know what is. This is a SALES Job. If you work hard, you will make money I guarantee it. On top of the commission and salary, there are games and team contests going on all the time. The purpose of these is to put money in the reps pockets. If you are competitive and driven by: success, money, career advancement, or recognition; then NSS is right up your alley. Paylocity is a growing company, so there are opportunities for upward mobility, whether that be in this department or others. NSS does ask you for a 12 month commitment before moving to another position, at that point you can explore other opportunities in areas that you may have interest in. These opportunities are not simply limited to the Sales department, they could be in marketing, implementation, sales management, training, or finance. You name it, you are given the opportunity to define your own career path. It was a great decision to come on board with NSS in December of 2013.

Cons

In NSS you are expected to make phone calls. This is an inside sales position. You will be making phone calls for the majority of the day, each day while you are in NSS. While it is repetitive, there are a ton of incentives and contests to keep you driven. The key to being successful in NSS, is to maintain a positive attitude. While it can be discouraging from time to time, with the rejections you will get, you have to remember that this is sales. Stick it out and make the dials and I guarantee that you will be successful.

Great for first few months

Cons

Very poor service, consistent territory cuts, consistent large increases in quota until unmanageable, treat employees as a disposable asset, no loyalty.

Pros

I'm no longer Employee 100999999. I actually have a name. And I actually feel respected. An easy concept, almost always missed. But here...it's simple. It's second nature. It's our culture.

Cons

If I had to pick it would be the lack of seasonal coffee flavors....
