      Stable, but growing software company with a ton of opportunity

      Pros

      The software development team is one of the smartest, most technically savy development teams I've ever seen. We use the latest technologies and collaborate really well. The Software Engineering department is a first-class citizen with major senior leadership support. Tools and technologies that developers need are purchased without management nickle and dime-ing licenses. The new Agile model is working really well, and developers feel invested in the products they produce.

      Cons

      Still a lot of legacy code and technical debt - but we are working to alleviate it, and most development is done using newer technology stacks.

      Working from home with flexible hours High compensation compared to similar jobs at other companies Company seems to actually care about its employees, rather than just giving lip service Technology seems to be an industry high Employees are promoted based on merit rather than length of service Friendly atmosphere and semi-annual meetings to make remote employees feel part of the team

      Cons

      Company growth is so fast that staffing can be an issue While still good, health benefits are not an industry leader Remote "24 hours always on" setup can lead to 12-14 hour days during busy times

      Pros

      Paylocity has an unbelievable story regarding growth organically. The best part is Paylocity has kept the team environment and open-door policy throughout this growth. It's an exciting, fast-paced company with some of the most talented people I've ever encountered in my career.

      Cons

      With high growth comes some growing pains. But the pros to growth definitely outweigh the cons.
