Pros

Fun events, and some great people work there.

Cons

Honestly, where to begin. First things first, it’s truly remarkable to see so many reviews that follow the same formula, don’t you think? I believe this to be the work of the CHRnO and her minions because they couldn’t deal with the amount of real employees who were dissatisfied and disgusted with the direction that this company is headed in. This is not organic, you can bet that this was a direction provided to try and make it appear as though Paylocity is such a great place to work. Paylocity has not been a good place to work in a very long time. There’s a reason that they didn’t even break the top 100 on Glassdoor’s list this year after being in the top 25 the last two years in a row. It’s not a coincidence that they fell out of those rankings after a clear change in leadership and restructure of different departments. They have lost sight of what made them special. They try to hide their short comings with overly flashy parties, and free food. Here’s some free advice: employees don’t care about free food and flashy parties when the work/life balance is nonexistent, the pay is subpar and lower than every other company in the industry, and when the stress is so overbearing that it causes depression and anxiety. Don’t fall for the FAKE reviews that are on here because it’s not authentic. There are people who have been with the company for years who have left because they don’t feel valued and that their worth isn’t important. Paylocity has forgotten that their people were their best asset. And that’s so disappointing and disheartening. Don’t be fooled by the propaganda and BS.

Like we mentioned previously – we say “CHRnO” to fake reviews! We want all the reviews on here to be genuine, authentic, and real because we want people to know what they’re signing up for when they join the Paylocity team. We want to hire great people – but that’s not a one-sided proposition, because great people need to know why we’re a great company for them as well. That’s why we want to give people a true and honest picture of what it’s like to be at Paylocity, day in and day out, the good and the bad.  We’re sad to hear that you didn’t like the direction Paylocity is going in – because we’re really excited about where we’re going, and we believe that everyone on the team is an integral part of that. No minions here, just valuable contributors (but what if we had the actual Minions from Despicable Me – how cool would that be?). At the end of day, our goal is to set up everyone for success, which is the most important thing we believe in.

Pros

Flexibility to work from home Decent pay Good benefits Ok snacks

Cons

Tech leadership mandates everything. It’s almost impossible to get your voice heard and you should walk into every conversation thinking it’s a ‘no’ or ‘you’re wrong’ unless you prove otherwise. Very little appreciation for any accomplishments. Many good people have left and are leaving because of these reasons. Little room for advancement and no structured growth except for those in the ‘yes club’.

Pros

Work remote option, training allowance, yearly technical conference. free bananas. free coffee.

Cons

there isn't a single african american in the tech. other minorities are few, no diversity. very few women. when you look at the leadership, its all white males and they dont care. get ready for EEOC. leadership and racism. tech management is full of white males, opportunities to grow professionally limited. leadership changes their mind constantly, and jerk the entire staff around to make up for the fact they dont know technology and cant make a decision. if youre a developer and want to stay a developer, and keep your head down, then this place is great.
