Pros

1. Culture - The values of PeaceHealth are respect, stewardship, collaboration and social justice. During my 20 year career at PeaceHealth, I found these values to infuse the culture. It is a mission-driven organization, steeped in the calling to heal. 2. Pay and Benefits - Compensation is generous. And recently, PeaceHealth began offering a healthcare plan where employees and our families could receive care from PeaceHealth clinicians and at PeaceHealth facilities essentially without cost. 3. Training and Tools -- During my employment, I was constantly learning and had access to the tools I needed. This support meant I was efficient and effective in my role. In addition, I have many transferrable skills for future jobs. 4. Location - The Pacific Northwest is a beautiful place to live and work. It offers enormous opportunities for an active lifestyle in a welcoming climate.

Cons

Employee experiences across the organization vary widely. Some teams benefit from strong leadership, clear roles and a manageable workloads. Others are lacking in these areas.

Pros

The salary is more competitive than I'd anticipated prior to applying. Senior leadership has good intentions and wants to do the right thing Decent health benefits Short term disability benefit for maternity leave pays more than some of its competitors Made challenging financial decisions during pandemic but those are benefiting us now.

Cons

Lack of clarity around strategic focus to employees at all levels. Seemingly random layoffs at times No company paid holidays. This comes out of your PTO No separate sick time bank...this also comes out of your PTO Trailing it's competition in basic services like virtual care options. They pivoted fast during the pandemic but that infrastructure should have been in place years ago Some buildings are in desperate need of updating
