Pros

Team mindset with a talented group that has compassion for all people in differing circumstances. This is a very friendly group. It is a healthy environment to work in. They are considered about not only the health of their patients but also of their employees. People don't appear overworked here, and all staff I know of are wanting to do his or her best for the patients. This place is far superior from prior work settings in my short term here so far.

Cons

It seems as if the employees do everything they can to take the "Jesus" out of the culture. It's good to be open to all beliefs, but I think Peace Health should do more to stick to its roots. They should remember the reason for all of their success. They should remember that Catholic nuns received a call from their lives being open to the Christian beliefs through Jesus Christ and have decided to serve the under served and travel a long way to do it. This seems like it is something that is lightly spoken about after orientation. It seems as if the culture is now geared towards a "millenial" mindset of don't say anything that will offend anyone. It appears that the company will go above and beyond for other nearly every other religion besides Christianity in regards to patient and spiritual care.

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to provide this perspective and your feedback. PeaceHealth’s dedication to continuing the healing work of Jesus Christ is what makes our approach to healthcare so unique, and I am so glad that you, as a Caregiver, feel the same way. As you know, Caregivers do not need to be Catholic to work here, and we welcome all religious and spiritual perspectives. Each Caregiver, regardless of their spiritual path, is expected to adhere to the Values of PeaceHealth (Respect, Stewardship, Collaboration, and Social Justice) when serving patients and one another. You can find more about our Catholic Identity here: https://www.peacehealth.org/our-catholic-identity. Additionally, throughout our system, we offer opportunities for Caregivers to worship as part of our ministry. If you would like to get more information about these opportunities, please email FeedbackWFP@PeaceHealth.org, and I will gladly share the information with you. Warmest regards, Kirk

Pros

Cozy critical access hospital serving a small rural/suburban community. Currently provides inpatient, oncology & outpatient infusion services, in addition to physical rehabilitation, & surgical services. Hospital is in process of expanding services & growing with the community.

Cons

Small hospital incorporated into a large healthcare organization spanning from Alaska to Oregon. Changes take time to implement. Less resources available in comparison to larger facilities. Frustrated staff make the work environment uncomfortable at times.
