Pros

I have never worked in a hospital that is always staffed well until I worked here. This is the best place to work, my coworkers are friendly, management is supportive and kind and doesn’t micromanage you. I feel supported and can honestly say I love my job here. It is a small community feel and everyone knows everyone. Pay is good. Benefits are excellent. If you’re burnt out and looking for something less stressful, this is the best place to be.

Cons

It is not an exciting place to work. We don’t get very interesting patients a lot of the time- the medical unit is more of a rehab mixed with short stay type unit.

Pros

Peachealth hires quality individuals. Everyone I have worked with has been an absolute joy. Our patients are always kind which makes the job that much better. The hours are great, and the pay is probably the best you could find in Whatcom county.

Cons

I think that Peachealth could offer more than just the state minimum for sick leave to those who work Per Diem. We don't get to use our leave towards vacation days, only sick days and it takes 8 whole weeks of working 40 hours per week to accrue enough sick leave to cover one full shift.
