Pros

Good health benefits if you use PeaceHealth providers and facilities; great co-workers.

Cons

Extremely poor and unprofessional leadership in patient financial services; they micromanage you to death and have unrealistic expectations of all the staff, mostly due to their own failed decisions. It is not uncommon to have so many people leaving that the place is like a revolving door. I started a position in customer service and left within six months as it was literally the worst environment I have ever worked in anywhere.

Pros

Amazing providers, great place to work if you don’t have kids/family. Benefits ok.

Cons

No work/life balance. You have a 7 minute window to clock in but if you’re one minute late, it’s a count against you. But you’re scolded with overtime. If you have an appointment or child sick during your scheduled shift, no matter how many hours you work, PTO is taken. Management doesn’t listen to their employees no matter what they say and they will tell you they do. No flexing on those slower days. Pay is mediocre. You can make more pretty much anywhere else. Policies before employees and patient safety. Employee beware.

I prefer health care that cares

Pros

After witnessing the amount of neglect and disrespect to both patients and caregivers I was inspired to return to school.

Cons

Prior to this position I had worked in healthcare for 5 years, this healthcare facility does not care about its patients or its caregivers. Never have I ever in my life witnessed so much neglect.
