      Great coworkers; career opportunities everywhere due to lack of staff

      Cons

      Understaffed; Management doesn't care about nurses; so much upper management turnover that very little progress occurs over time. Worked there 4 years and I think staffing and communication with employees have gotten worse over time (which is upsetting as the bar the started low to begin with).

      Trauma II hospital with great staff, never a dull moment

      Pros

      Fast paced work environment on Ortho/Neuro/Trauma floor Regionally ranked #10 in WA state and #5 in the Portland, OR metro area Excellent staff members who advocate for their patients Beautiful new hospital wing opened up recently in the Firstenburg Tower

      Cons

      Floors will see very high volume patients with low ratio for staffing at times Burnout rate is high due to constant added features to charting Under-utilization of some ancillary departments on floors (i.e. respiratory therapist should be embedded more into patient-care for med-surg and surgical floors, and not just in critical and emergency care settings)
