Pros

I have been an occupational therapist for many years and worked in a lot of different places, most recently the VA for the past 10 years. PeaceHealth is by far one of the best companies I have ever worked for. The orientation focused on employees being "caregivers" not just staff , and the the mission statement is heartfelt and compassionate Their wages are very competitive and I feel respected, valued, and supported by my supervisor and team. It's only been a couple of months but unless things change, I hope to be working there for years to come

Cons

The computer system (EPIC) is laborious and difficult to learn...too many drop down options and information to wade through.

Pros

The training is detailed. It's a community all on the same team with the priority of taking care of our patients. I like the clear policies as well as the moral created by the wooden tokens, cards from management and the floors planning potlucks to celebrate each other's achievements. I like that when I express a concern about a patient I'm taken seriously. Team work makes the dream work!

Cons

During training on resource team frequently during my tour someone on the floor said "hey, we're short.. stay here and work with us". I also heard a lot about people filling in at Station 2 leaving no resource team to work as floats. There's an obvious concern about staffing among caregivers
