Pros

Benefits under Pearson were decent until the company sold its OPM to Regent (private equity firm)

Cons

Run for the hills if you're still part of the OPM division (formerly POLS, now Boundless Learning). Pearson knowingly sold you off to a private equity firm to avoid paying out severance to the hundreds of loyal, hard-working employees who were unceremoniously laid off in early August 2023. Constant instability, lack of transparency and communication, low pay, and little opportunities for growth are just a few of the reasons I urge anyone still working for this company to get out while you can. Life post-Pearson is infinitely less stressful.

Pros

Competitive Compensation: Pearson is a large and established company, which often means they can offer competitive salaries and benefits compared to smaller educational organizations. Benefits Package: Many employees report receiving a comprehensive benefits package, which might include health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and more.

Cons

Varied Salaries: While Pearson might offer competitive salaries, the actual compensation can vary widely depending on the specific role, location, and level of experience. Some positions might not offer as attractive compensation packages as others. Limited Advancement: While there are opportunities for career growth, the extent of advancement might depend on factors like the department you're in, the company's organizational structure, and the availability of higher-level positions.
